Terry Hamilton also known as “Word to the Wize", graduated in 1992 from East Duplin High. This 5 year Marine Corps Veteran, considers himself as “just a good ole country boy” whose been given a gift and calling to minister in a unique way.

Terry is currently a member of Bethany Freewill Baptist Church. His unique ministry speaks not as a word to the wize in arrogance but under subjection, speaking to all Christians and Non-Christians about every day situations, which may sound comical, but in reality it's what most people often think.

With Terry being a survivor of alcohol and drug abuse, it is not by chance his personality and talkativeness, while under the influence, led him to live that fast life. Now he is using that same gift for God and making a difference.

Through poetry and spoken Word, Terry re-lives his trials by sharing his testimonies to help others receive awareness and deliverance over their own situation. He shares his short-comings, hoping to bring those who have standards which are too high or too low into common ground.

Terry has spoken at numerous churches and family functions. He is featured on Gospel recording artist, Chosen Vessel "Catch the Vision" CD. Terry has also featured at the Smithfield, North Carolina “Poetry lane”, “Poetic Sangrila”, "Men on a Mission" Outreach Ministry and St. Matthews “Drama Squad”. On June 1st 2007 Terry accepted his greatest role as a husband by entering the ministry of marriage.

Terry’s future projects include: A Compact Disc, A Book of Poetry and ministering through Pantomime for Poetry In The Light’s “Unspoken Word Mime Ministry”.

“My daddy once told me as a child I would stay out and play all day in the fields around our house just lifting my voice. I remember the day he came home from the hospital; I saw those same fields filled with people needing to hear what God has given. I am beyond thankful to be one of God’s chosen vessels. Romans 1:4 I am debtor both to the wise and unwise."
