Troy Bunch was raised in Boston Massachusetts and graduated from Boston High School. His continuing education was completed at Northeastern University and the University of Massachusetts (Boston), where he majored in English. He is a Military Veteran who served in the United States Army during the Gulf War.

He received his calling in January of 2001 and became an Associate Minister at Orange Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Durham, NC. While fulfilling his duties as Associate Minister, he also became a member of the Theatrical Ministry Acting Team and part of the Orange Grove Touring Mass Choir.

In November 2007 Troy Bunch was ordained as an Elder by Bishop Bennie Griffin Jr. at New Jerusalem Church in Durham North Carolina.

Troy Bunch is a bold, frank, candid, articulate man of God who ministers through Preaching, Teaching and Spoken Word…thus receiving his pen name "Outspoken" in 2005. He has spoken for numerous churches, Open Mic Cafe's, Relay For Life, Special Events in Virginia, Maryland, DC, Massachusetts, Georgia, Nova Scotia, Las Vegas “WBAV” and North Carolina. He has also ministered through Spoken Word for many Television and Radio stations across the nation. He was a finalist in the National Poetry Contest in 1992 with a poem entitled "My Dearest Son, Today, Tomorrow and Forever.”
He's the Founder of "Spoken Word Outreach Ministry" which aired on the CWT Network “Armunda Hancock Gospel” Television Show. He's the Founder of the "Unspoken Word" Pantomime Ministry.

In 2004 Troy bunch and Duane Graham Foster Co-Founded a ministry called “Poetry In The Light” Worship Arts National Organization.

Outspoken is the Executive Producer of three concert DVD’s “Poetry In The Light Live Charlotte, NC”, Poetry In the Light “The True Spoken Word” and a 25 track compilation Spoken Word CD and DVD called “Spiritual Awakening” Rise & Shine by various artist within the Poetry In The Light Organization.

Outspoken has written numerous articles for various magazines. He's the play write of two Gospel Stage Production called "White As Snow" And “The Master’s Bedroom”. He's the author of three powerful, heart warming, children's books "A World Made From Wishes And Dreams", "The Boy Who Lived In A Star" and "The Well Of Wonder And Wisdom."

In 2003 he wrote and published his first book of Psalms/Poetry called "Spoken in Tongues" (Divine Poetic Interpretations). One of his signature pieces, which has literally changed people’s lives, through the anointing of God is "I left It At The Cross".

Outspoken is now in the process of releasing his sophomore book of poetry called "Change Is Coming".

Troy Bunch wears many different hats. He's a Military Veteran, a Clinical Data Scientist, Children's Book Writer, Manager, Director, Published Author, Preacher, Elder, Teacher, Poet, Actor, Spoken Word Artist, Pantomime, Evangelist, Singer, Play Write, Producer and Dad. When asked, what he considers as his greatest accomplishment? Humbly he said, "Giving my life to Christ."
